How to Forcequit a Menubar App in OS X

What is a menu bar app?

A menu bar app lives in the menu bar on your mac OS X computer. You will see the Apps icon on the top of your screen near the time. It looks like this:

Example Apps:

    DropBox
    Google Drive
    Social Folders
    Clip Menu
    Logmein

As with any app, these apps may crash and require that you force quit them. The problem is that the apps do not show up when you select Force Quit from the Apple Menu. So, to force quit, here is what you do:

Open an App called “Activity Monitor”
Using the search bar in the upper right of the Activity Monitor Application, type in the name of the app you want to quit.
Select the app from the list
Press the Quit Process button (it looks like a stop sign).
